Text messages. If you sign up for texts, we collect your phone number and a record of your consent so we can send the messages you asked for. We store them in our store system, provided by Shopify. Shopify, its text messaging provider and the mobile carriers process them to deliver your messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with any other third party. You can ask us to see or delete your information at any time by emailing support@optimisticapparel.shop. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

YouTube API Services

Optimistic Apparel ("OA", "we") uses YouTube API Services in a private internal tool to upload and schedule videos to OA's own YouTube channel and to read and reply to comments on OA's own videos.

By using this tool you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's Privacy Policy applies to data handled by Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy

What data we access. Only the OA channel's own data, after the channel owner signs in with Google: the ability to upload videos to the channel, and the channel's video IDs, comments and comment replies. We do not access other people's channels.

How we use it. To upload and schedule OA videos, to show comments on OA videos so the owner can read and reply, and to track upload quota. We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or use it for ads or profiling.

Storage and sharing. The sign-in tokens Google gives the tool are saved in the tool's settings on the owner's own computer. The tool does not show them, does not write them to logs, and does not send them anywhere except to Google. Comments on OA's videos are shown on screen only when the owner asks to read them and are not saved by the tool. The video IDs of OA's own uploads are kept in OA's own posting records on the owner's computer. We do not share YouTube data with third parties.

Revoking access. You can revoke OA's access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. See also https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

YouTube data retention and deletion

  • Sign-in tokens are deleted immediately when the owner clicks Disconnect YouTube in the tool, and they stop working as soon as access is revoked in the owner's Google account.
  • The tool does not keep YouTube comments. The video IDs of OA's own uploads stay in OA's own posting records; they are OA's own information.
  • To request deletion of any data, email support@optimisticapparel.shop. We reply within 7 days.
  • Data we hold from YouTube API Services is not kept after access is revoked, apart from the IDs of OA's own videos described above.
